About Me

Palisades Teacher of the Year 1992	A gift to me from my students 1999

I was born in Brazil in the middle of the last century, the onset of the TV generation. I've been married to my lovely wife, Karen, for 24 years. I have 2 step children: Abe 34 and Samantha 36. I have 3 wonderful grandchildren by Samantha: Erika 14, Nina 11, and Petra 6. We all live in San Clemente, California.

I've been an elementary school teacher for 32 years. I still enjoy teaching kids. I taught at Palisades School in Capistrano Beach for 25 years. I'm currently at Marblehead School in San Clemente and have been on the staff for 6 years. This year I am teaching Kindergarten. It's a marvelous age. They soak up information and learn so much.

I've been very interested in integrating computer technology into the classroom since 1981. I have a Masters in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University. Over the years I've been voted Teacher of the Year by my staff, received a Mentor recognition certificate by the California State Superintendent of Schools, and been a CUSD Technology Mentor for 25 years. I've taught computer classes via Adult Education some years.

I play guitar, do yoga, I like to write, read science fiction, and play on the computer. I've been actively involved in my Masonic lodge for the last 25 years.
